Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the UN Geneva – Press Release – Human Rights Council briefed on attempts by India to alter demography in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir
We are making this right of reply to India’s right of reply.
- Instead of answering for its gross human rights violations in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India always resorts to petty tactics of vitriolic disinformation campaign against Pakistan in the same vain it did with the OHCHR and Special Procedures who questioned its atrocities. India should realize that obfuscation of facts and baseless allegations against Pakistan cannot absolve it from its crimes against humanity against Kashmiris and its own citizens. The misuse of the word quote “locus standi” unquote by India is baffling. Does India think that its above international human rights law? The world does not act like India’s Higher Judiciary who has made unholy nexus with its hindutva leadership and keeps on releasing mass murderers and rapists. The world is not like radicalized Indian voters who elect masterminds of anti Muslim riots to highest public offices of the country.
- Being the country leading in fake news and internet hoaxes than anywhere else in the world, we could not have expected informed response from the Indian delegate. Kashmir is not an integral part of India. The UN Security Council resolutions clearly stipulate the disputed nature of Kashmir and its final disposition through a free and fair plebiscite. The OHCHR Kashmir report has corroborated this point. Taking position against United Nations documents, clearly reflects on the self defeating Indian narrative.
- Another disinformation out of plethora of Indian lies was regarding the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir are living in harmony and peace with their human rights being respected by the State institutions. Pakistan has introduced a very liberal visa policy and anyone can visit AJK. This is in sharp contrast to the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir which has been converted in a concentration camp where there is no free access for international media and experts. Regarding the fairytale cross border terrorism, we would urge India, to ask its 7,00,000 soldiers in IOK as to why they cannot stop it. The reality is that there is no cross border terrorism. The young Kashmiris are not fearful of being blinded by Indian pellet guns. Each death of freedom fighter is mourned by millions of Kashmiris. The videos of thousands attending their funerals and chanting anti-India slogans are available on the internet.
- India giving the Council sermon on state sponsored terrorism is hilarious, considering that it tops the list. Running Terrorist networks like that of serving Indian Naval Commander Kulbushan Yadev and TTP and supporting terrorist organization which even attained naval power, are some of the manifestations of India’s state sponsored terrorism. India is a state famous of mass massacres. The genocide of Sikhs in 1984 and mass murders of Muslims in Gujrat in 2002 are still afresh. No civilized nation does that to its own people. Considering that Kashmir is not part of India, Kashmiris are witnessing the worst form of suppression. India wants this Council to endorse legalization of killings, rape, torture, detentions, lynchings and blindings in IOK. The international community surely cannot be a silent spectator to such madness and hatred.
