We are making this right of reply in response to the statement made by Indian delegation and their right of reply to our statement. I must acknowledge the Indian delegation’s consistency. They consistently peddle the most absurd arguments in an effort to distract attention from their reprehensible human rights record. Lets take their arguments one by one.
First, India has a habit of maligning Pakistan for anything and everything under the sun. Also, India uses rhetoric similar to that used by all occupying forces throughout the history of ignoring facts and claiming just resistance of people as terrorism being instigated externally.
Second, the Indian delegation has once again twisted facts by claiming Jammu and Kashmir to be an integral part of India. Lets get the facts straight: Jammu & Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and UN Security Council resolutions have asked for a free and fair plebiscite to be held to ascertain the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
Third, senior Indian leadership has openly acknowledged to have interfered in Pakistan and have spoken of using terrorism against Pakistan. The planning, financing and implementation of terrorism in Pakistan by the state of India has been confirmed by a senior serving naval intelligence operative arrested in Pakistan. We have handed over dossiers to UNSG detailing terrorist activities supported by India.
Fourth and the final element in their litany of absurdity is to depict Pakistan as being the source of all their troubles. They ignore the fact that unremitting, persistent state repression has led to the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir. They further ignore the fact that in recent years, the forces of communalism and outright fascism have been cultivated and empowered by mainstream political parties in India. Indeed, we are all watching with dismay and concern the deliberate, systematic construction of a neo-fascist political order in India. Extreme right wing elements exercise political power. And minorities of whom Kashmiri Muslims are only one community are bearing the brunt of a fascist agenda. The pogrom of Muslims in Gujrat where over 3000 men and women were butchered, the burning of the Samjotha express train carrying mostly Muslims, the raping of nuns, the burning of churches, forced conversion and whole sale revision of textbooks and curricula to glorify one community are some of the manifestations of the poisonous environment that is deliberately developed by parties in actual political power.
The Indian delegation would do well to reflect on the deeply troubling trajectory their state is embarked upon rather than indulging in patent falsehoods about Pakistan. For the edifice of fascism is in an advanced stage of construction in India.
And what is normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir for the Indian delegation? Is it normal for children being blinded by Indian security pellets. Are curfews for weeks normal? Is cutting internet connections normal? Is the raping of women normal? If this is all normal of India then they are following values of morality unknown to the rest of us. Things would only get back to normal when India’s tyrannical occupation ends in Kashmir.
